The Audi Q5 is set for a complete makeover in 2025, and it's not just about the exterior aesthetics or the engines. The SUV from Ingolstadt has undergone significant changes inside as well. The onboard technology has been refined, the upholstery has been upgraded, and the functionality continues to be top-notch, especially for those who frequently travel with companions.

Let's delve into every aspect of the interior of the new Q5.

The Dashboard

The change in generation is immediately apparent at first glance. The dashboard adopts the latest Audi model designs with its trio of screens, incorporating those from the electric range. In addition to the 11.9-inch digital cluster, there's a 14.5-inch infotainment screen angled towards the driver, and the passenger has access to a separate 10.9-inch screen to view various driving details.

The entertainment system operates on Android Automotive OS and its contents are updated wirelessly. Users can also incorporate apps such as YouTube. Additionally, the driver can easily view information through the head-up display, which projects various driving data onto an area 85 percent larger than the previous Q5 model.

The ultimate sound system is the one from Bang & Olufsen, featuring a 685-watt amplifier and 16 speakers, which, thanks to VNC technology, is also designed to diminish external noise.

Interiors and Materials

The cushioning of the Q5 boasts luxurious heated and ventilated seats crafted from diamond-tanned leather and suede. The door panels and the upper dashboard have a plush feel, complemented by the center console and dashboard adorned with brushed aluminum inserts and glossy black lacquer. According to our associate who had the opportunity to view the Q5 in person, its interior is just as upscale as that of the new A5.

An additional highlight is the LED strip that encircles the whole interior, which can have its color customized directly through the infotainment system.

Interior Space

Despite a marginal increase in size (3.5 cm longer), the interior space of the Audi remains virtually the same as the previous model. This is a positive aspect, as rear-seat passengers continue to enjoy ample legroom and headspace.

The trunk capacity remains the same. The Q5 continues to offer a base volume of 520 liters, which can be expanded to 1,473 liters when the rear seats are folded down – a feature that can be adjusted forward and backward by a few centimeters, a first for the brand.
