VW Caddy Flexible 2024: Der wandelbare Alleskönner für Passagiere und Ladegut
The 2024 VW Caddy Transforms into a Jack of All Trades
Whether it's passengers or cargo, the Caddy's versatile rear bench that doubles as a partition means it can handle both with ease
The VW Caddy is undeniably a highly functional vehicle. With a cargo capacity of over three cubic meters, it's a leader in its class. Additionally, it can comfortably seat five people. However, previously this required the cumbersome task of removing or reinstalling the seat bench. This inconvenience is now a thing of the past!
The VW Caddy Flexible stands out as a highly adaptable commercial vehicle known for its versatility. This new version of the Caddy features a second row of seats that can easily be converted into a partition wall. As a result, the Caddy Flexible can either carry up to five passengers or offer a cargo space of up to 3,100 liters. Its ability to transform makes it perfect for a range of uses, whether for carrying people or hauling goods and materials.

The Caddy Flexible comes in both standard and extended wheelbase (Maxi) options. The Maxi variant has the capacity to accommodate two pallets in a tandem arrangement. Loading and unloading are made effortless and convenient through the dual sliding doors or the rear entrance. This versatility is enhanced by the option to choose between a glass or solid panel for the rear cargo area.
The Caddy Flexible now features a new plug-in hybrid option. It utilizes a 1.5-liter TSI engine that delivers a total output of 110 kW and can produce up to 350 Newton-meters of torque. Equipped with a usable battery capacity of 19.7 kWh, it can achieve an electric range of up to 122 kilometers.
Drivers have the autonomy to choose when they wish to use the electric range, whether that's at the start of their journey, during, or upon arrival at their destination. The vehicle's battery can be recharged using Direct Current (DC) fast chargers at a rate of up to 50 kW or Alternating Current (AC) home wall boxes at 11 kW. When it comes to charging times, it takes a maximum of 2.5 hours using AC, and approximately 26 minutes with DC fast charging.
However, the Caddy Flexible is also available with traditional powertrains, including TSI gasoline and TDI diesel engines. The standard combustion engine models come with a six-speed manual transmission, while the more powerful versions are equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG). This range of drivetrain choices allows customers to tailor the vehicle to their specific needs and preferences.
Increased Number of Volkswagen Transporters:
The Caddy Flexible stands out for its comprehensive array of safety features. Standard on all models are traffic sign recognition, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and systems to detect driver fatigue and attention levels. The Cargo variants enhance safety further with additional features such as side and head airbags, a multi-function camera, tire pressure monitoring, Lane Assist, and Front Assist that includes pedestrian and cyclist detection.
