2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+: Das ultimative Track-Tool direkt ab Werk
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is now available as a factory-designed track weapon
Pushing the boundaries
The latest Mercedes-AMG GT shares its underpinnings with the SL Roadster, being built on the same structural platform. However, this has not been unanimously praised by enthusiasts and buyers, as it lacks the predecessor's transaxle design and doesn't match its relatively lighter weight.
Hence, he lacked a certain nimbleness, which was particularly evident during intense racing on the track, such as the now popular Trackdays. Mercedes-AMG has since introduced a significantly enhanced version of the GT – traditionally called PRO – which is designed to excel primarily in race track performance.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+, another long-named creation from AMG, aims to impress with enhanced performance, particularly at high speeds. With an increase in power to 450 kW (612 hp), it promises more vigorous acceleration and sharper responses to driving commands. It can go from zero to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds, and it has a top speed of 317 km/h. This boost in power has been achieved by tweaking the engine control unit, which also upped the maximum torque to 850 Nm.
A significantly upgraded cooling system ensures that the powertrain remains at optimal temperatures, even when under stress. Additional radiators have been installed in the front wheel arches. The coolers for the differentials and the transfer case now receive active airflow, enhancing the vehicle's overall performance on the racetrack.
The car's aerodynamic enhancements feature a redesigned front bumper, extra air guiding components made of visible carbon, and an active aerodynamic profile on the underbody. These additions aim to lessen the lift at the front axle and boost the downforce at the rear axle, which is expected to result in more accurate steering response.
The standard-issue ceramic composite brake system, equipped with 420-millimeter front discs, ensures durability and consistent performance under high strain. The vehicle comes fitted with lightweight 21-inch forged wheels, adorned with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires, with the option to upgrade to semi-slick Cup tires. Cutting-edge features like the Active Ride Control suspension with active roll stabilization, standard rear-axle steering, and active aerodynamics are all included. The fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive is a proven component of the vehicle's design.
The AMG GT 63 PRO's exterior highlights its connection to racing through a carbon package that includes a front splitter, side sill panels, a diffuser, and a rear wing. Inside, the vehicle boasts sporty vibes with performance seats and a steering wheel wrapped in leather and microfiber.
Increased AMG presence:
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO, with its enhanced performance, might just be what true AMG enthusiasts have been anticipating. Unlike the "E Performance" hybrid variant, which excels in straight-line dynamics, it delivers unadulterated V8 pleasure and increased driving enjoyment due to its lighter weight. Those who desire an even more extreme experience should look forward to the "Black Series," should it ever be released.
