Peugeot elektrifiziert die SUV-Klasse: 3008 und 5008 als Plug-in-Hybrid mit bis zu 85 km Reichweite
The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models can now be ordered with plug-in hybrid options. They can travel up to 85 kilometers on purely electric power. Apologies for the mix-up, but it's the lion we're discussing, not the pig: Peugeot's latest 3008 and 5008 models are now available for purchase as Plug-In Hybrids. This expands the electrified choices for these two SUVs, which include 48V hybrid versions, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric powertrains.
The 3008 and 5008 Plug-In Hybrid 195 e-DCS7 models merge a 92 kW (125 horsepower) electric motor with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder internal combustion engine that generates 150 horsepower (110 kW). This combination delivers a total output of 195 horsepower (143 kW). The electrified 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is produced at the Metz factory in France.

The 17.8 kWh (net) battery provides a fully electric range of up to 85 km for the 3008 and up to 78 km for the 5008. Both versions come with a 55-liter fuel tank. Charging time is quick, taking just 2 hours and 55 minutes using a 7.4-kW charger, or a longer 9 hours and 5 minutes using a standard home socket. In Germany, the private charging limit is typically 4.6 kW, while public charging stations can deliver up to 7.4 kW.
According to the manufacturer, the new Peugeot 3008 is one of the most compact SUVs in its class, the C-Segment, due to its dimensions, which are 4.54 meters in length, 1.89 meters in width, and 1.64 meters in height. It also provides ample space for both passengers and luggage. The boot can hold 520 liters, which can be expanded to a maximum of 1,480 liters when the rear seats are folded down. The new 3008 Plug-In Hybrid 195 e-DSC7 will initially be available in the Allure and GT trim levels at the time of its release.
The 3008 Plug-In Hybrid 195 e-DSC7 Allure comes standard with features like keyless entry and ignition, an HD backup camera, rear parking sensors, LED headlights and taillights, dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, a cockpit boasting dual 10-inch digital screens, an entertainment system, as well as a 3.7 kW onboard charger with single-phase electric power. In Germany, the Allure model starts at a price of €42,990.
The rivalry between the 3008 and 5008 models:
The latest 5008 model is spacious, with enough room to accommodate up to seven passengers. It features a boot capacity of 916 liters when configured with five seats, 348 liters with all seven seats in use, and a maximum of 2,232 liters when only two seats are used and the rest are folded down, ensuring ample storage space.
The 5008 Plug-In Hybrid 195 e-DSC7 Allure comes standard with a range of features including keyless entry and ignition, high-definition rearview camera, Mirror Screen functionality, frontal collision warning system, adaptive cruise control with a speed limiter, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, Eco-LED headlights and lights, and 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels. Additionally, the model boasts an i-Cockpit with dual 10-inch HD displays and a 3.7 kW on-board charger for single-phase electricity. Pricing for this model begins at a recommended retail price of 45,990 euros.
