Pedro Acosta Aims to Bring Entire GASGAS Tech3 Team to Red Bull KTM for 2024 MotoGP Season
Pedro Acosta is eager to bring his entire team to KTM
Pedro Acosta is enthusiastic about the possibility of moving his entire team to Red Bull KTM for the next season.
Pedro Acosta aims to bring along as many members of his present GASGAS Tech3 team as he can when he transitions to Red Bull KTM in MotoGP for the next season.
Acosta has taken up the position previously held by Pol Espargaro at Tech3, working with crew chief Paul Trevathan, who moved from the main KTM team to rejoin Espargaro in 2023.
Trevathan and several others appear ready to team up with Acosta in 'orange' for the upcoming season.
After signing his new contract with KTM, Acosta mentioned, "I now have a factory motorcycle, a factory team, and a factory crew."
“There’s no compelling reason to leave the Tech3 team, yet there’s also no reason to avoid advancing to the factory team.”
"I’m extremely pleased with this choice, especially following the decision made a year ago to join KTM as my brand for moving up to MotoGP."
When questioned specifically about bringing his team along, Acosta confirmed once again:
"The entire team. Ultimately, as I often mention, our players are fundamentally orange, even though they're wearing red uniforms."
"I am very pleased to lead the entire team and maintain this level of performance."
The 20-year-old racer is presently KTM’s leading competitor, holding fifth position in the world championship rankings.
The identity of his successor remains unknown, but there is speculation about a possible direct exchange with Jack Miller. Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini is being rumored to take the other Tech3 KTM position.
