**MotoGP Welcomes Red Bull’s Kelly Brittain as New Global Marketing Head to Drive Worldwide Fan Engagement**
MotoGP has created a new global marketing position and has selected Kelly Brittain, the communications director at Red Bull, to fill the role.
MotoGP revealed that Kelly Brittain, who is presently the Brand & Communications Director at Red Bull Technology, is set to become the new Managing Director of Global Marketing at Dorna Sports.
Ms. Brittain is anticipated to start her position as the Managing Director of Global Marketing by the 2025 season. She will be under the supervision of Dan Rossomondo, who assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Dorna at the start of the 2023 MotoGP season.
Besides her role at Red Bull Technology, which she has occupied since 2021, Ms. Brittain has also worked at Mitchells & Butlers, Samsung, Telefonica (O2) UK, and DAZN.
"MotoGP holds a rightful place as one of the top brands in sports, and I'm excited to collaborate with the team to enhance the sport and grow its global fanbase," stated Ms. Brittain.
“Everything begins with the supporters; comprehending their reasons for involvement and the value they derive from this sport.
“Our goal is to expand this globally to stimulate brand development, encompassing the promotion of MotoGP in various media, cultural areas, and demographic groups that the sport hasn't yet engaged.”
"The existing framework for fan engagement, customer relationship management (CRM), and social media is already excellent, and the collaboration with teams and promoters is very robust."
"Our goal is to expand upon this foundation and eliminate any obstacles to participation and development. The sports industry ecosystem has seen significant growth, offering numerous entry points for both new and loyal fans, whether through content, the rise of social media channels, merchandise, or brand partnerships."
"It's thrilling to work on maximizing this for MotoGP, and I'm honored to join this outstanding team to lead the next phase of growth and success."
Carmelo Ezpeleta, the CEO of Dorna Sports, expressed his excitement about Kelly Brittain joining MotoGP. He emphasized that marketing and promotion are their top priorities as they usher in a new chapter for the sport. By placing both existing and potential fans at the core of their efforts, they believe that establishing this new role and bringing in a skilled professional like Kelly will greatly benefit their objectives.
"MotoGP has a worldwide following of 500 million people, but our goal is to grow even larger. By diversifying our team to include a variety of experiences, backgrounds, and areas of expertise, we aim to attract an even broader audience and elevate this amazing sport."
"Kelly is a significant advantage for our team, with a history of success, and she contributes greatly. Through this process, we've learned that she will provide not only professional expertise and experience but also be a wonderful colleague as we strive to make MotoGP widely recognized."
