Nachhaltigkeit auf vier Rädern: 90 Prozent aller Aston Martins weiterhin auf der Straße
Aston Martin claims that 90% of its vehicles are still operational
Now that's what you call sustainability…
Last year marked the 110th anniversary of Aston Martin, a brand that has seen its fair share of challenges over the decades. Yet, the mere existence of the company for over a century is testament to its enduring influence and resilience. Another noteworthy statistic? An astonishing 90% of Aston Martin vehicles are still being driven today.
At a recent event in New York, Alex Long, who is in charge of product and market strategy at Aston Martin, revealed to reporters on Monday that the company has manufactured approximately 110,000 vehicles since its inception in 1913, a figure that underscores the brand's enduring legacy.
"In numerous nations, it's possible to look up vehicle identification numbers in real-time, and once someone has experienced a recall procedure, they become aware of what's actually on the streets and what isn't," Long told Motor1.

Long added, "We handle a significant share of the global car market at major dealerships as individuals aim to safeguard their vehicle's worth and opt for maintenance services there. You start to notice vehicle identification numbers appearing within the system that you never expected to encounter, allowing us to compile this information."
The percentage clearly demonstrates the deep passion that owners and aficionados have for Aston Martin as a brand. In fact, the presence of Astons on the road surpasses that of the Mercedes G, which is estimated to have around 80 percent of its vehicles still in use today. Similar high numbers are also anticipated for brands like Ferrari and the Porsche 911.
Additional Aston Martin News:
"Definitely, there's a sentimental aspect to the game," states Kevin Watters, the director of communications. "You'll find vehicles out there being restored which might not make financial sense, yet individuals proceed out of sheer passion, with Lawrence [Stroll, the CEO of Aston Martin] leading the way. He owns an extensive array of Aston Martins that he consistently updates to mint condition."
