Ford Enthüllt Revolutionären Ranger PHEV auf der IAA Transportation: Ein Neuer Hybrid-Pickup Setzt auf Nachhaltigkeit und Leistung
Global Launch: Ford Unveils Ranger PHEV in Hannover
The new pickup with plug-in hybrid technology to be introduced at IAA Transportation event
Ford's Ranger PHEV, a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, is set to make its worldwide premiere at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover. This pickup merges an electric motor with Ford's 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine, providing it with the most torque of any Ranger model available. This blend aims to offer robust performance in terms of payload capacity, towing capability, and off-road proficiency.
Ford sees the Ranger PHEV as a step towards a more sustainable future by combining the eco-friendly attributes of an electric engine with the reliable performance of a gasoline engine. It's anticipated that a fully charged battery will deliver a driving range of over 45 kilometers, although this can vary based on factors such as weather, driving habits, and the terrain. This distance capability makes the Ranger PHEV an appealing option for those looking to cover short distances without emissions while still having the versatility of a gasoline engine when needed.

The Ranger PHEV features multiple driving modes, providing users with substantial versatility in how and when to utilize the battery's power. Additionally, this model comes with the established Ranger four-wheel drive, granting it excellent off-road capability.
A distinctive feature of the Ranger PHEV is the Ford Pro Power Onboard system. This system allows the use of the vehicle's traction battery power for electrical tools or for providing energy during camping trips. Power can be accessed through outlets located inside the vehicle and on the cargo bed, eliminating the need for noisy and cumbersome generators. This is especially advantageous for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts who often operate or camp in remote locations away from urban amenities.
The Ranger PHEV boasts a maximum tow weight of 3,500 kilograms when braked, establishing it as a powerful and adaptable option for a variety of needs. Even with the extra electric parts, the Ranger PHEV maintains its durability and dependability, designed to withstand tough tasks and challenging environments. Ford is set to start manufacturing the four-wheel-drive Ranger PHEV at the end of 2024, with the initial units expected to hit the market in early 2025.
Increased Pickup Capacity:
At the expo, Ford Pro, Ford's commercial vehicle division, will showcase their latest electrified versions of the Transit series. These vehicles are designed to boost productivity and increase operational time for their customers.
