Enea Bastianini Clinches KTM Deal Amid Ducati Shakeup: Manager Confirms Official Bike for 2025
Enea Bastianini is "finalizing specifics" for an exciting new opportunity. According to his manager, Bastianini will be riding an official bike for a satellite team.
Enea Bastianini is close to finalizing his position for the 2025 season, according to his manager.
In 2025, Bastianini will be replaced by Marc Marquez in the factory Ducati team.
Amid the controversy over Ducati's choice to hire Marquez, they ended up losing Jorge Martin to Aprilia, as well as Bastianini.
Bastianini is poised to join Tech3 GASGAS, but his manager emphasizes that this move won't mean a downgrade to secondary equipment.
Carlo Pernat revealed to Motosprint that he has a deal with KTM to provide Enea with an official KTM.
"We're finalizing the specifics, but the deal is confirmed, so I can announce that Enea will compete with KTM next year."
KTM plans to elevate Pedro Acosta from the Tech3 GASGAS team to their primary factory squad next season, where he will join Brad Binder.
The futures of Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez are uncertain, but it's certain that at least one of them will leave if Bastianini joins.
Pernat hinted, "I have a contract with KTM for an official motorcycle, but that's all I can reveal for now."
"The announcement is certain to be made this week."
Pramac's Martin has officially joined Aprilia's factory team for the 2025 season, taking over from Aleix Espargaro, who is set to retire.
However, Maverick Vinales' future remains uncertain, which means Aprilia might need to find another main rider for their team.
However, Bastianini’s manager emphasizes that he will not push too hard in discussions with various manufacturers.
“There is absolutely no communication with any other team,” Pernat stated.
"As a particular kind of manager, I believe that announcements should always come from the company, only after initially consulting with the developer."
“I don’t believe in introducing a new rider into the Aprilia team mid-season, alongside another Aprilia rider, as it’s not a practice that aligns with a professional atmosphere.
"Agreements are in place and they need to be honored."
"While I won't disclose any names, I've consistently treated everyone with respect and will keep doing so."
