**”Ducati Faces Uncertain Future as Pramac Contemplates Departure Amid Marquez and Martin Shake-Up”**
Ducati acknowledges the possibility that Pramac might leave is genuine.
"The entire motorcycle community is hoping Pramac will make a unique move."
Ducati has acknowledged the real chance that Pramac might decide to part ways in 2025.
Throughout this year, the satellite team's future has been uncertain, and the situation worsened in the last week due to Marc Marquez's decision to join the factory Ducati team for the upcoming season.
Ducati announced that they aimed to retain Marquez and Jorge Martin, which would have provided Pramac with a high-caliber rider to compete for the championship once more.
However, Martin has committed to Aprilia, leaving Pramac without a rider, as his contract is due to end this year.
"The danger is genuine," Ducati's general manager Gigi Dall’Igna stated to Sky Italia regarding Pramac's potential departure from their team.
The entire motorcycle community is hoping that Pramac will make a change and partner with a brand other than Ducati.
"However, it would be a letdown on both personal and athletic levels, given that Pramac and Paolo Campinoti have been part of our journey for many years."
"They contribute to the achievements we are currently enjoying."
"It would be unfortunate, and everything needs to be assessed, but the issue is real."
Last week during the Italian MotoGP, Pramac appeared to outline their plans for the future. Team manager Gino Borsoi announced that they would be using GP25 Ducatis in the upcoming year.
Ducati's sporting director, Mauro Grassilli, later clarified that a contract had not yet been finalized.
According to reports, Pramac's existing contract with Ducati features a provision that allows the satellite team to extend their partnership for an additional two years if they choose to activate it by July 31.
However, it is not currently in use.
Yamaha is seeking to include a satellite team in their lineup for the 2025 season and reportedly made a generous proposal to Pramac.
Yamaha has consistently been optimistic and self-assured about the likelihood of achieving their desired outcome.
It remains uncertain whether Pramac will choose to extend their contract with Ducati for another two years or switch their allegiance to Yamaha.
However, it is evident that they will be unable to depend on Marquez or Martin in the coming year.
Franco Morbidelli, whose contract is nearing its end, remains with them. Additionally, they might get Fermin Aldeguer, a promising Moto2 rider set to join a Ducati MotoGP team next year.
At present, Martin from Pramac is at the top of the MotoGP standings after seven races.
