Aprilia Racing CEO Dismisses Speculation on American Rider for Trackhouse in MotoGP 2025
Aprilia minimizes the notion of featuring an 'American rider on an American squad' for the 2025 MotoGP season
Massimo Rivola states, "I don't believe that's going to happen."
California's Joe Roberts claimed his inaugural Moto2 win of the year at Mugello, narrowing the gap to just 7 points from the world championship frontrunner, Sergio Garcia.
However, in the aftermath of the MotoGP trials, Aprilia Racing's Chief Executive Officer, Massimo Rivola, minimized the likelihood of the satellite Trackhouse team featuring an American rider in their lineup for the upcoming season.
"Rivola expressed his belief that this wouldn't happen, pointing out that the market currently provides access to highly skilled MotoGP riders."
Rivola echoed team leader Davide Brivio's viewpoint that for Trackhouse, the main focus in 2025 is on achieving the highest performance outcomes, instead of acting as a feeder team for Aprilia.

Meanwhile, existing factory victor Maverick Vinales, alongside the Trackhouse pairing of Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez, have yet to receive confirmation regarding their
"Rivola further stated, 'Davide and I are, you could say, on the same page, especially regarding our views on riders.'"
"Trackhouse is poised for a promising future as they expand into the technician sector for the upcoming year."
"Thus, they will select the participants for the ride."
"Clearly, I plan to express my opinions. Moreover, they have talented riders at the moment who, in my opinion, haven't yet fully demonstrated their capabilities. So, let's wait and see."
