Preicanos Racing Ends Association with Bo Bendsneyder Mid-Season Over Behavior and Confidentiality Concerns
Preicanos Racing has announced that Bo Bendsneyder will not continue with the team for the rest of the 2024 Moto2 World Championship season, citing issues with his conduct.
The Preicanos Racing team has announced its separation from Bo Bendsneyder after the 13th race of the 2024 Moto2 World Championship.
The team from Spain, previously identified as the SAG Racing Team, has maintained a lasting partnership with the rider from the Netherlands, extending over the past four years since they initially teamed up in 2021.
Nonetheless, having previously resolved to not extend Bendsneyder's contract at the season's conclusion, the team has now opted to terminate it sooner. Preicanos Racing pointed to underwhelming performance outcomes and a 'breach of confidential data' that escalated discord within the squad as reasons for their decision.
The Preicanos Racing Team has revealed updates to its Moto2 roster after conducting an internal review of the team's performance this season.
Despite intentions to part ways with Bo Bendsneyder at the season's close, the rider chose to sever ties just before the Misano race.
Several years down the line, the outcomes have fallen short of what the team had hoped for. This disappointment, coupled with the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive details, has caused strain among the team members.
In 2019, Bendsneyder embarked on his Moto2 journey with RW Racing and moved to Preicanos Racing (formerly known as SAG) in 2021, where he achieved his highest placement of third at last year's Moto2 Grand Prix of the Americas race.
Daniel Munoz, who previously stepped in for Bendsneyder earlier this season, is anticipated to complete the rest of the season with Jaume Masia as his teammate.
