Pecco Bagnaia Battles Neck and Shoulder Pain After Aragon MotoGP Crash with Alex Marquez
Pecco Bagnaia Experiences Significant Pain Following Alex Marquez Incident at Aragon MotoGP
Francesco Bagnaia reported experiencing pain in his neck and shoulder after colliding with Alex Marquez during the Aragon MotoGP.
Francesco Bagnaia has provided specifics about the injuries he sustained following his collision with Alex Marquez during the Aragon MotoGP last weekend.
The duo came into contact following Marquez's wide turn at the 12th corner during the 18th lap of the Grand Prix. Bagnaia, having initially started in third position but falling to seventh due to a sluggish start, was progressing through the field and appeared poised to claim the final podium position from Marquez.
The Italian rider attempted to capitalize on Marquez's mistake at turn 12 by making a move at turn 13, roughly a hundred meters down the track. However, their collision resulted in both racers being forced to exit the race.
Bagnaia experienced a difficult tumble beneath Marquez's bike and later visited the medical center for treatment.
In an interview with MotoGP.com following the Aragon race, Bagnaia mentioned experiencing "neck pain," but he also noted that "it could be far more severe, so it's manageable."

In an Instagram story, Bagnaia explained the crash and mentioned experiencing pain in his left shoulder.
Bagnaia explained that he used the opportunity when Alex Marquez went wide to overtake him. He also took the next corner on a wider line, aware that there was another rider nearby. He expressed regret over the outcome, noting that it had already been a tough weekend.
"Following yet another challenging beginning because of the difficult conditions at that particular spot on the grid, I managed to stage a solid recovery and was significantly faster. At the moment, I'm experiencing quite a bit of pain, especially in my left shoulder, but it seems like nothing is fractured."
“We will strive to be in peak condition for Misano.”
As the San Marino Grand Prix approaches this weekend, Bagnaia has a mere four days to regain his physical condition before the practice sessions for his home race start. This situation is quite similar to last year, when he had an accident at the Catalan Grand Prix and came to Misano with injuries to his leg.
Last year, Bagnaia secured third place in both the Sprint and Grand Prix races, even though he was dealing with injuries. However, the impact of his recent crash in Aragon on his performance in Misano won't be known until practice starts on Friday morning.
