Tradition Meets Innovation: Der Morgan Plus Four (2024) vereint klassisches Design mit modernster BMW-Technik
The 2024 Morgan Plus Four: Classic Style Meets Modern Technology
Morgan has delicately updated its classic model, the Plus Four, incorporating BMW engineering under the hood.
The aim is to modernize the Morgan Plus Four with advanced technology and a few visual enhancements, while thankfully maintaining its iconic design. The BMW-sourced four-cylinder engine continues to deliver performance befitting its stature.
The Morgan Plus Four is a vintage sports car that has essentially been produced in the same form since 1950. In 2020, the model underwent the most significant change in its history when it transitioned from an outdated steel chassis to a contemporary aluminum frame.
In the process, the name was altered from "Morgan Plus 4" to "Plus Four" to emphasize this significant transition for the manufacturer. Fortunately, despite this major shift, the vehicle's external appearance remained mostly unchanged.

For the 2024 model year, Morgan has invested heavily in updating the technology, while also making careful tweaks to the design. The fenders have been given a more distinctive shape thanks to a new manufacturing technique. The era of add-on indicators has ended, as new main headlights now come with built-in turn signals, enhancing the lighting.
The vehicle's appearance is subtly updated with a redesigned front spoiler, a fresh license plate holder, and a revamped emblem. The mirrors have also been reengineered to offer a more stable rear view.
Upcoming 2024 Morgan Plus Four
The Plus Four continues to be powered by a BMW two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 258 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Power is exclusively directed to the rear wheels and, in theory, there's an option between a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission by ZF. But let's be real, isn't this car meant to be driven with a manual shift?
The standard suspension system has been upgraded with re-tuned springs and shock absorbers for improved handling. For an additional cost, there's an available Dynamic Handling package, created in collaboration with Nitron. This package features fully adjustable shock absorbers with height control and a front axle stabilizer. Additionally, enhancements have been made to the car's body corrosion protection, and a revamped cooling system offers reduced weight and increased dependability.
Inside the vehicle, passengers will enjoy an enhanced audio experience thanks to the upgraded standard speakers, with an optional Sennheiser package available for superior sound quality. Controls for the exterior lights have been moved to the on-screen display, and improvements have been made to the interior lighting as well. Additionally, the remote control on the key fob now boasts an extended range.
There's a significant amount of detail-oriented work involved to prepare the compact Morgan for the days ahead. In Germany, the updated Morgan Plus Four is available starting at 89,900 euros, with this base price applicable for both transmission options. Those who are looking for a classic English sports car equipped with the latest technology and contemporary performance will find what they're looking for right here!
