**”Strategic U-Turn: Ducati’s Youth Policy Abandoned in Favor of Marquez Signing”**
Ducati faces allegations of abandoning a key strategy – "That’s not something I would have done…"
"The approach shifted unexpectedly, resulting in the release of young staff members."
It has been suggested that Ducati has given up on the approach that helped turn Pecco Bagnaia into a MotoGP champion.
Next season, the addition of Marc Marquez to their factory team signifies a distinct shift from their previous strategy of promoting younger talents such as Bagnaia.
However, it was also a rare opportunity that comes along only once in a generation to secure the signature of one of the finest riders in MotoGP history.
Enea Bastianini's manager mentioned that Ducati, led by Gigi Dall'Igna, has evidently altered its strategic approach, resulting in Bastianini being replaced by Marquez.
"Carlo Pernat told Motosprint that everyone is entitled to do as they please within their own home, assuming there are methods we might not be aware of."
"Nevertheless, the strategy focused on younger talent implemented after Dovizioso's era has been abandoned, despite its proven success."
“Unexpectedly, the approach shifted, resulting in young employees being dismissed and subsequently joining rival companies.
"They allowed two competitors, aged 26 and 27, to depart—Bastianini and Jorge Martin—in order to bring in a 31-year-old, who happens to be Marc Marquez."
"I would not have taken that action since the recent strategy proved successful."
"However, I can see how it might be a reasonable suggestion."
"Our goal now is to bring two prominent figures together, and that's perfectly fine."
Ducati has previously faced setbacks due to their notable signings of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
After focusing on nurturing young talent from within their ranks, they broke a 15-year title drought with Bagnaia's victory in the 2022 championship.
This year, Bagnaia has the chance to secure his third consecutive championship in a competition that involves four Ducati riders.
However, next year, the situation will change significantly as Marquez joins the official team with Bagnaia and gains access to improved equipment.
