Complete second free practice standings for the 12th race of the 2016 Formula 1 season, the German Grand Prix, held at the Hockenheim circuit.
Nico Rosberg from Germany, driving for Mercedes, topped the time sheets with a lap of 1 minute and 15.614 seconds. He was closely followed by his British teammate, Lewis Hamilton, who clocked in at 1 minute and 16.008 seconds. The third position was secured by Sebastian Vettel, another German, representing Ferrari, with a time of 1 minute and 16.208 seconds. Dutch racer Max Verstappen, in a Red Bull-TAG, took the fourth spot with a time of 1 minute and 16.456 seconds, closely trailed by Australian Daniel Ricciardo, also in a Red Bull-TAG, who finished in 1 minute and 16.490 seconds. Kimi Raikkonen from Finland, driving for Ferrari, posted a time of 1 minute and 16.512 seconds, landing him in sixth place. Nico Hulkenberg, representing Germany in a Force India-Mercedes, clocked in at 1 minute and 16.781 seconds for the seventh position. British driver Jenson Button, in a McLaren-Honda, secured the eighth spot with a time of 1 minute and 17.087 seconds, while Mexican Sergio Perez, also in a Force India-Mercedes, was hot on his heels with a time of 1 minute and 17.148 seconds. Fernando Alonso from Spain, driving a McLaren-Honda, rounded out the top ten with a time of 1 minute and 17.225 seconds.
Just outside the top ten, Spanish driver Carlos Sainz Jr., in a Toro Rosso-Ferrari, posted a time of 1 minute and 17.342 seconds, followed by Russian Daniil Kvyat, also in a Toro Rosso-Ferrari, with a time of 1 minute and 17.367 seconds. Valtteri Bottas from Finland, in a Williams-Mercedes, clocked a time of 1 minute and 17.425 seconds. French driver Romain Grosjean, in a Haas-Ferrari, secured a time of 1 minute and 17.602 seconds, while Brazilian Felipe Massa, in a Williams-Mercedes, had a time of 1 minute and 17.686 seconds. Mexican Esteban Gutierrez, driving for Haas-Ferrari, posted a time of 1 minute and 18.005 seconds. Danish racer Kevin Magnussen, in a Renault-Renault, clocked in at 1 minute and 18.056 seconds, followed closely by Swedish Marcus Ericsson, in a Sauber-Ferrari, with a time of 1 minute and 18.130 seconds. German Pascal Wehrlein, representing Manor-Mercedes, secured a time of 1 minute and 18.193 seconds. British Jolyon Palmer, in a Renault-Renault, clocked a time of 1 minute and 18.313 seconds.
