Right from the start, there's a bit of a downer: The entry-level version priced at about 25,000 euros won't hit the market until 2025. Similarly, the even more affordable Citroën e-C3 will see its 20,000-euro base model released in 2025 as well.

Starting in 2025, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric will come in five different trims: Five, Evolution, Techno, Iconic Five, and a special Roland Garros edition. The Techno and Iconic Five will be the first available for order, both equipped with a 52-kWh battery capable of up to 410 kilometers according to WLTP standards. By 2025, orders will open for all model variants.
Starting May 31, 2024, in Germany, the Renault equipped with a 52-kWh battery (Comfort Range) will be available for order in the Techno and Iconic Five trims starting at a monthly rate of 279 Euros or a one-time payment of 32,900 Euros. The leasing option is based on a mileage lease for private customers, covering the Techno 150 Comfort Range for a period of 48 months, with a limit of 40,000 kilometers and an initial special payment of 5,100 Euros.
Two Battery Choices
The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric comes with a choice of two battery variants. The initial models available for order, featuring the Techno and Iconic Five trims, will be equipped with the Comfort Range battery. This battery has a capacity of 52 kWh, enabling a driving range of up to 410 kilometers according to the WLTP standards. Additionally, the package includes:
Ampere, a subsidiary of Renault, has engineered a new electric motor that delivers 150 horsepower and powers the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in under eight seconds. Additionally, the latest 11-kW AC charger includes a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, which allows for the charging of external electric devices, such as an electric barbecue or scooter, directly from the vehicle.

Priority given to R5 R-Pass holders
Individuals with an R5 R-Pass will have the first opportunity to place an order for the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Techno and Iconic Five Comfort Range. Upon purchasing their R5 R-Pass, they will be reached out to by their selected Renault dealer, after which they will have a ten-day window (ending on May 30th) to customize and confirm their order for the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric.

They will be among the initial group of customers to receive the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric. The official order launch will follow on May 31st, also for the Techno and Iconic Five models equipped with a 52-kWh battery.

As the vehicle launches, buyers have the option to select from a palette of five colors: vibrant Pop Yellow!, lively Pop Green! (featured in our cover image), deep Night Blue, iridescent Pearl White, and glossy Black Pearl Black. Additionally, they'll have access to an extensive array of accessories for their Renault 5 E-Tech Electric.
The customization options include two variations for the roof and the front doors, each available in two different colors.
The interior boasts 19 liters of storage space, customizable with 3D printed accessories for a personal touch. Seriously, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric even offers a unique woven wicker basket designed for carrying fresh baguettes from the bakery, ensuring no more flour or crumbs on the seats. Kudos to Renault! Additionally, the E-Pop gear shift comes with a handle that can be tailored to the driver's preference.

When launched, the two available models, Techno and Iconic Five, come standard with a range of features: a heat pump, an 11-kW AC charger, a fast charger that supports up to 100 kW DC, automatic climate control, and 18-inch "Techno" or "Chrono" wheels.
The vehicle is also equipped with a rear-view camera, an adaptive cruise control, and two horizontal screens: a 10-inch digital display for the driver and a 10.1-inch central screen for the OpenR Link multimedia system, which includes built-in Google features. Additionally, the system offers a route planner designed specifically for electric vehicles.
