**MotoGP Highlights: Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Jack Miller’s Close Call with Rins at Aragon**
Brad Binder: "I did another rolling burnout!" Jack Miller: "Rins got past me"
Brad Binder: "I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning my tires at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP performance since the season started in Qatar, finishing 4th and 6th at the Aragon race.
This occurred even though he veered off the track in both competitions, although he managed to secure seventh place on the less cluttered part of a messy starting lineup.
Throughout the middle portion of the race, Binder was trailing rookie Pedro Acosta. This pursuit turned into a fight for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia clashed with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta managed to stay slightly beyond grasp.
“I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start, and I managed to do another rolling burnout just like the previous day!” Binder said with a smile.
"I carefully navigated through and overtook several riders. Avoiding errors was challenging because the front tire was overheating while following others, especially during the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since I wasn't able to enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely by the end."
"I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room to maneuver from behind!"
"Besides that, we took several encouraging strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Jack Miller, who started the race in 15th position, made an impressive start and climbed up to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian rider soon faced issues with rear grip.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins on the final lap and falling to ninth place, he was one of three racers penalized with a 16-second penalty due to tyre pressure violations, which ultimately placed him in 15th position.
"The race felt really long," Miller remarked. "The track conditions have changed a lot; it was dirty for most of the weekend, but today it seemed even more slippery."
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final turn."
"I found my groove and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when moving from the tire's edge to its center… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it hard to keep up with the leaders. We'll continue to work hard."
"Glad to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the back straight during the final lap. I tried my best to ride accurately, but I lost speed and he managed to pass me."
“We will return once more to Misano.”
Test rider Pol Espargaro will increase KTM's lineup to five participants this weekend with his wild-card entry.
"Head to Misano now, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol's wildcard entry, which will be beneficial for us moving forward," stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, who currently occupies the fifth position in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
