Karma’s Electric Evolution: GT-UV Concept and High-Performance Models Set to Shine at 2024 Monterey Car Week
Electric vehicle newcomer Karma has announced plans to unveil a GT-UV concept car at the upcoming 2024 Monterey Car Week, indicating the release of a potential SUV model.
The design is currently known by the placeholder name GT UV Design Study, but this is not its final title. Its unveiling is set for August 16th during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, which is among the most prestigious happenings at Monterey Car Week.

Karma introduces the idea as a luxurious four-seater vehicle designed for long-distance comfort and the ability to tackle various landscapes. The preview images unveiled with the announcement on Monday hint at the possibility of an SUV, and it appears to be quite stylish.
Alongside the GT UV Design Study featured at Karma's exhibit in The Quail, attendees will also find the unveiled Kaveya sports car prototype and the Gyesera sports sedan.
Idea of Karma Kaveya
The initial unveiling of the Kaveya took place in 2023, however, the latest iteration will include the actual production model's interior, with Karma projecting its market launch to be in 2026, which is a delay from the earlier projection by one year. The vehicle will boast a power output of up to 1,000 horsepower and is anticipated to have a base price in the vicinity of $300,000.
The unveiling of the Gyesera took place in March, with Karma indicating plans to initiate sales within the current year, although there is a possibility of a delay until 2025. Karma has stated that the vehicle will feature a 120 kWh battery, can deliver up to 590 horsepower, and is expected to have an entry price point in the vicinity of $175,000.
The concept of Karma Gyesera
Karma emerged from the ashes of the defunct Fisker Automotive, which collapsed financially in 2013. Presently, it offers just one car model, the Revero, which is an extensively revamped edition of the Fisker Karma. The Revero shares its predecessor's series plug-in hybrid design, yet Karma's upcoming vehicle lineup will exclusively consist of electric vehicles (EVs).
A short while back, Karma had intentions to market both high-end and business vehicles. However, the current strategy has shifted towards solely concentrating on bespoke luxury cars. The aim is to establish Karma as a premier luxury brand in the US, drawing parallels with the esteemed Duesenberg from over a hundred years ago. The manufacturing of the latest Karma models will take place at their Moreno Valley facility in California, which is also the production site for the Revero.
