Jack Miller Eyes New Horizons After KTM Exit, Engages in Talks with Rival Manufacturers
"Unemployed" Jack Miller shares discussions on joining competing brand following KTM rejection
"Currently, I'm searching for employment. That's just how things stand."
Jack Miller has acknowledged engaging in discussions with alternative producers as KTM slots become occupied.
The well-known Australian rider will not continue with KTM's official team in the 2025 MotoGP roster.
Tech3 KTM has officially announced Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini as their team lineup for the upcoming season, effectively ending any possibility for Miller to join.
Miller has identified himself as "unemployed" following the announcement that Pedro Acosta will take over his position, joining Brad Binder, in the upcoming year.
"Currently, I'm receiving Jobseeker's Allowance," Miller stated, prior to the official announcement from Tech3. "That's the situation."
"Rational decision by KTM. It's clear to me that I'm saddened by my tenure with the main team coming to an end."
"Acosta possesses exceptional skills. However, we have yet to demonstrate our true potential."
"Rational decision. Our aim is to achieve improved performances in the upcoming races. It's not that efforts haven't been made, but we'll intensify our attempts in the forthcoming grands prix."
Francesco Guidotti, the team manager for KTM, originally stated their desire to retain him within the project by securing him a spot on the Tech3 GASGAS team.
Nonetheless, Hubert Trunkenpolz from Pierer Mobility Group mentioned their intention to team up two racers at Tech3 GASGAS who have secured a podium spot this season, a feat Miller hasn't accomplished.
Vinales and Bastianini meet those standards.
Speculation suggests that Honda may serve as a potential choice for Miller.
Miller acknowledged the possibility that he had agreed to take the Tech3 KTM spot, which was eventually given to Vinales and Bastianini.
"Clearly, we are engaged in discussions with several producers, including KTM," Miller stated last week.
"Given that there's still an available spot just beyond the garage wall."
"I genuinely have faith in this project. I wouldn't have gotten involved if I didn't."
"We began with vigor. We've faced challenges along the way. I'm confident that these challenges will ultimately fortify us."
"I continue to believe that I have much more to contribute and demonstrate in this context."
"We'll aim to reconvene, devise a plan, and ideally, remain here a little longer."
