Enteligent Unveils World’s First Solar-Powered DC-to-DC EV Fast Charger, Now Available for Pre-Order

Enteligent, a company from California, is now accepting advance orders for a pioneering fast charging system for electric vehicles that operates on direct current and can be linked with solar power, thereby reducing carbon emissions.

Enteligent has introduced the TLCEV T1 EVSE as a substitute for Level 2 AC chargers. This device bypasses the inefficiencies caused by converting power from DC to AC and back again, which is especially advantageous in places lacking a specialized power supply for the charging unit, according to the firm.

Enteligent boasts a pioneering approach, enabling the implementation of rapid DC charging stations in locations that only had access to the slower Level 2 charging options before. Moreover, Enteligent suggests that when these chargers are paired with solar power systems, they can operate independently of the electrical grid. This simplifies the approval process and various complexities, while also guaranteeing that electric vehicles are charged solely using clean energy, thereby reducing their environmental impact even more.

Enteligent has announced that its equipment is capable of accelerating charging speeds to a maximum of 12.5 kw and comes equipped with either NACS connectors compatible with Tesla or CCS-1 options. Customers can currently place an order by making a refundable deposit of $250, which will be credited against the special "early bird" pricing of $2,249.

Enteligent recently disclosed the provision of a 25-kilowatt DC-to-DC two-way charger to a prominent delivery firm for the purpose of powering their electric delivery fleet, and has successfully secured $6 million in funding to advance its commercial endeavors.
