Hybrid Vehicles Take the Lead as Consumer Interest in EVs Declines, AAA Survey Reveals

According to a recent AAA survey, there's been a decrease in American consumers looking to purchase electric vehicles, with a noticeable pivot towards hybrid vehicles instead.

A mere 18% of American adults polled indicated they might or probably would purchase a new or pre-owned electric vehicle, a decrease from the previous year's 23%. Meanwhile, a significant 63% of those surveyed expressed they were "improbable or highly improbable" to choose an electric vehicle as their next car. Nonetheless, 31% of those questioned did express a likelihood or high likelihood of purchasing a hybrid vehicle.
