Cadillac Escalade (2025): Here it is
The Escalade is getting a makeover and additional features, plus the Escalade-V remains in the lineup
It's known that the colossal Cadillac Escalade has a solid fan base in Germany, likely due to its impressive size. Currently, Germany only has access to the fully electric Lyriq, but it's probable that the Escalade would fare much better in the market. We're here to tell you about the new features of the 2025 model.
General Motors' high-end division is refreshing its gasoline-powered behemoth, the Cadillac Escalade, for the 2025 model year following the introduction of its electric counterpart, the Escalade IQ. The updated Escalade features a redesigned front end, an expansive touchscreen display, and good news for the aficionados – the performance-focused Escalade-V will continue to be available for an additional year.
The gas-powered Escalade's resemblance to its electric counterpart is no coincidence. Cadillac has incorporated lighting features from the IQ model and other Cadillac EVs such as the Celestiq and Lyriq. The bumper corners are adorned with vertical headlights featuring LED highlights, a newly illuminated Cadillac emblem graces the hood, and models from the V-Series upwards even have an illuminated grille surround.

The gasoline-powered Escalade is now available with twenty-four-inch wheels for the first time, although twenty-two-inch wheels remain the standard option. The palette of fresh paint colors includes shades such as Aegean Stone Green, Deep Sea Metallic Blue, and Latte Metallic Light Bronze.
Upon entering through the newly installed electric doors, one is immediately captivated by the massive screen that spans the entire dashboard, stretching from one A-pillar to the other, measuring a grand 55.0 inches. The driver is treated to a 35.0-inch display, while the passenger enjoys a 20.0-inch touchscreen equipped with video streaming capabilities. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto continue to come as standard features. Passengers seated in the second row can indulge in 12.6-inch touchscreens provided by the optional Executive Second Row package.
The 2025 Escalade retains its 6.2-liter V8 engine from the previous model year, delivering 420 horsepower and 624 Newton-meters of torque. This power unit is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, there's disappointing news for diesel enthusiasts: the 3.0-liter Duramax engine has been discontinued. Nonetheless, the Escalade-V will continue to boast a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, churning out 682 horsepower and 926 Newton-meters of torque.
In addition to the standard features, the Escalade-V also includes several specific performance enhancements. The front end design is more belligerent, incorporating a larger lower grille that improves cooling efficiency. The interior is upgraded with additional carbon fiber detailing and what is known as Jet Black leather. Beyond the basic Escalade model, all trim levels come equipped with the latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 technology paired with an adaptive air suspension system. Super Cruise comes as a standard feature.
