The leading theoretical publication of the Communist Party has emphasized the dangers posed by "destructive" "external entities" aiming to sway the minds of Chinese youth, through sharing snippets of a discourse delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping six years prior.
During his address at the 2018 National Education Conference, Xi pointed fingers at certain groups for attempting to "Westernize" Chinese youth and orchestrating a "color revolution." He emphasized the importance of ideological education in schools.
