Xi Jinping Warns of Western Influence on Chinese Youth, Calls for Strengthened Ideological Education

The leading theoretical publication of the Communist Party has spotlighted the danger posed by "destructive" foreign entities aiming to sway China's young population, by sharing snippets of a speech delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping six years earlier.
During his address at the 2018 National Education Conference, Xi Jinping criticized certain groups for attempting to "Westernize" Chinese youth and orchestrating a "color revolution." He emphasized the importance of ideological education in schools.
