Experience a ride-along with Valentino Rossi as he spends an afternoon flat tracking alongside his VR46 Academy students
Despite being nearly three years removed from his career in competitive motorcycle racing, Valentino Rossi continues to tear up the tracks at his Motor Ranch on a YZ450F.
A recent upload by Rossi on his online platforms brings viewers along for a ride with him and the current MotoGP World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia, as they spend an afternoon practicing flat track. The session also includes VR46 Ducati racer Marco Bezzecchi.

Even though Rossi hasn't competed in MotoGP for some time, he demonstrated that he still has a knack for riding on dirt, as he went head-to-head with both Bezzecchi and Bagnaia during several laps around the Motor Ranch.
The precise timing of the footage remains uncertain, however, given the happenings at the previous weekend's Aragon Grand Prix, supporters of Alex Marquez may feel reassured observing Bagnaia deciding against executing an overtaking maneuver on the outside of Bezzecchi at one of the circuit's two sharp hairpin turns.
As Bagnaia and Marquez were clashing in Aragon, Rossi was gaining momentum in Texas during the Lone Star Le Mans, participating in the 6-Hour race at the Circuit of the Americas, also known as COTA.
The #46 BMW started the race in 15th position but had climbed to fourth and was closing in on third place with about 15 minutes remaining in the sixth installment of this season's World Endurance Championship. Unfortunately, a technical issue forced Rossi, Ahmad Al Harthy, and Maxime Martin to retire from the race, nearly at the end (considering it was a six-hour race).
Prior to retiring, Rossi appeared to be having a good time at the WEC race in Austin the previous weekend, even with the temperatures hovering around four degrees Celsius. However, it's likely he finds more joy in flat tracking alongside Bezzecchi and Bagnaia, in our opinion.
