Tragic Morning in Eastern China: Bus Crash Kills 11 at School, Local Community Rallies with Blood Drive
Five children and six adults have perished in eastern China after a bus collided with a group outside a school, with the driver now in custody. Meanwhile, a nearby cinema has stationed blood donation units in response to a widespread appeal on social media to assist the numerous individuals injured in the accident.
On Tuesday morning, a bus collided with a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in the deaths of 11 individuals and injuries to 24 others.
State television CCTV reported that the accident happened at about 7 a.m. near Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the school year.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the fatalities included six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others were reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not yet been disclosed.
According to police, the vehicle involved was a school bus transporting students. It lost control as it neared an intersection and collided with a group of people. Authorities have taken the driver into custody and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
