Tragic Morning: 11 Killed, Including Students and Parents, in Bus Crash Outside Eastern China School
Five children and six adults have perished in eastern China when a bus plowed into a group of people outside a school. Following the incident, which resulted in 11 fatalities and injuries to many others, the bus driver has been taken into custody by the authorities. This tragic event occurs shortly after national outlets reported on new initiatives aimed at enhancing student safety.
On Tuesday morning, a bus collided into a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in the death of 11 individuals and injuries to 24 others.
State media outlet CCTV reported that the accident happened at about 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the school year.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others were reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
According to police, the vehicle involved was a school bus responsible for transporting students. It veered off course at an intersection and collided with a group of people. Authorities have since taken the driver into custody and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
