Tragedy Strikes Eastern China: Bus Crash Kills 11, Including Children and Parents, Outside School
In eastern China, a tragic accident outside a school resulted in the deaths of 5 children and 6 adults when a bus plowed into a crowd. Following the incident, which left many others injured, the bus driver was taken into custody by the police. This catastrophe occurred shortly after national media highlighted new safety protocols aimed at protecting students.
On Tuesday morning, a bus collided with a group of people in front of a middle school in eastern China, resulting in the death of 11 individuals and injuries to 24 others.
State media CCTV reported that an accident took place at approximately 7:00 AM in front of Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day back to school.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while 12 others are currently in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
Authorities reported that the vehicle involved was a school bus assigned to transport students. It veered off course at an intersection, colliding with a group of people. The bus driver is currently in police custody, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
