A Tory election contender has issued an apology for making light of the date rape drug Rohypnol in a series of social media posts dated back to 2012.
In communications obtained by Sky News, Oliver Johnstone, a candidate for MP in Stockport, stated, "if [sic] it weren't for the lure of material possessions, how else would you expect me to attract a partner?" He followed this with another comment: "Either that or use rohypnol."
The ex-council member from Stockport conveyed to Sky News, "I sincerely regret these remarks, which were made several years back."
