According to a recent YouGov survey for Sky News, Reform UK is now trailing the Conservative Party by just two points in the ongoing election campaign.
The most recent weekly poll, carried out on Monday and Tuesday prior to the televised debate, shows Labour leading with 40%, followed by the Conservatives at 19%, Reform UK at 17%, the Liberal Democrats at 10%, and the Green Party at 7%.
The majority of the survey, conducted using a different approach from the previous week's poll, took place following Nigel Farage's assumption of Reform's leadership on Monday.

According to YouGov, the effect of the change in methodology on this specific survey is somewhat greater due to rounding, with the Labour lead previously calculated at 27 points using the old method, an increase from the 25-point lead reported last week.
The survey results may cause concern among some Conservative members, anxious about the possibility of losing right-wing supporters to Reform UK, particularly with Mr. Farage now leading the charge.
