The schedule for the 2025 Formula 1 season has been finalized, starting with the Grand Prix in Australia.
Melbourne is set to host the inaugural race of the season from March 14-16, marking its first occurrence since 2019. This event will be followed closely by the Chinese Grand Prix, scheduled to occur in Shanghai from March 21-23, creating a back-to-back race schedule.
F1 is set to continue its journey with back-to-back races in the Middle East, as the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grand Prixs have been rescheduled to April. This adjustment is made to observe the Ramadan period.
The UK's Silverstone circuit is set to host the twelfth race of the Grand Prix series, scheduled for July 4th to 6th.
A fortnight-long summer holiday in August will be framed by the Grand Prix events in Hungary and the Netherlands.
The 2025 schedule includes three instances of three consecutive race weekends, starting with the sequence of Japan, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia early in the season, and concluding with Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi towards the season's finale.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Formula 1 sprint races are scheduled to be held in various international locations, including China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar.
Stefano Domenicali, the head of Formula 1, announced, "The year 2025 will mark a significant milestone as we commemorate the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It's our rich history and expertise that enables us to present an impressive schedule. We are set to travel to 24 remarkable locations globally, offering premier racing, hospitality, and entertainment that will captivate millions of fans around the world.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to the FIA, the organizers, the cities hosting us, and the various National Sporting Authorities for their dedication and assistance in bringing this calendar to life, ensuring an exciting season ahead for Formula 1. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of our F1 teams and drivers, the stars of our sport, and express our appreciation to our global fanbase for their unwavering passion and support for Formula 1."
Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the head of the FIA, stated: "The World Motor Sport Council has given its nod to the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship schedule, showcasing our joint commitment to achieving sustainability goals by organizing events more regionally. Our priority remains the consistent development of Formula 1, but we equally recognize our responsibility towards environmental conservation and ensuring the welfare of our travelling personnel.
