Revving Up for 2025: Confirmed Venues for F1 Sprint Races Span the Globe from China to Qatar
Officially Announced: The Six F1 Circuits Hosting Sprint Races in 2025
The locations for the next season's F1 sprint races have been officially confirmed.
F1 has revealed the six locations that will feature sprint races in the 2025 season.
Continuing the trend from 2022, six events will also include sprint races in the upcoming year.
In 2025, Formula 1 will host sprint races in six locations: China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar.
This season's sole alteration features Spa taking over Austria's slot, hosting its inaugural sprint race in 2023.
Since its inception in 2021, Brazil has consistently been the sole location to host a sprint race annually.
The structure has undergone adjustments through time, yet as of now, there are no planned modifications for 2025.
"The Sprint has notably enhanced Formula 1, offering our supporters increased excitement and competition on the circuit," F1 Chief Executive Stefano Domenicali remarked.
Evidence of this phenomenon is apparent in our viewership metrics, spectator participation during Friday events, and feedback from sponsors and collaborators.
As we approach the milestone of our 75th year in 2025, it's essential to both respect our remarkable heritage and to focus on the future by continuously innovating and enhancing our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our broad and varied audience.
"The Sprint serves as an exemplary model for introducing fresh aspects into our sport while honoring the integrity of the Championship. I'd like to express my gratitude to the six locations selected to hold the Sprint in 2025 and eagerly anticipate the remarkable events set to occur during the season."
FIA chief Mohammed Ben Sulayem stated, "In 2025, as we commemorate the 75th year of the FIA Formula One World Championship, the Sprint will be marking its fifth anniversary within the tournament."
Throughout this period, thanks to our solid partnership with Formula 1 and contributions from every team, the concept has undergone numerous modifications. These changes in the rules and structure have shaped the thrilling and well-received Sprint races we enjoy now.
"The six scheduled events for 2025 promise to cover an intriguing variety of tracks, offering fans an abundance of extra excitement throughout the season."
