Pecco Bagnaia Battles Neck and Shoulder Pain After Aragon MotoGP Crash with Alex Marquez, Eyes Recovery for San Marino GP
Pecco Bagnaia Reports Significant Pain Following Aragon MotoGP Collision with Alex Marquez
Francesco Bagnaia has reported experiencing pain in his neck and shoulder after a crash involving Alex Marquez during the Aragon MotoGP event.
Francesco Bagnaia has shared information about the injuries he sustained following his collision with Alex Marquez during the MotoGP race in Aragon last weekend.
The two riders collided when Marquez veered off line at turn 12 during the 18th lap of the Grand Prix. Bagnaia, who initially started in third position but fell to seventh due to a slow start, was working his way back up and appeared poised to claim the podium spot from Marquez.
The Italian rider attempted to capitalize on Marquez's mistake at turn 12 by making a move around a hundred meters later at turn 13. However, a collision between the two competitors resulted in both of them being forced out of the race.
Bagnaia experienced an uncomfortable tumble beneath Marquez's motorcycle and subsequently headed to the medical center.
In an interview with MotoGP.com after the Aragon race, Bagnaia mentioned experiencing "neck pain" but noted that "it could be far more severe, so it's manageable."

In an Instagram story where he explained the accident, Bagnaia mentioned that his left shoulder was hurting.
Bagnaia explained that he seized the opportunity to overtake Alex Marquez when Marquez went wide. He also took a wider line into the next corner, aware of another rider's presence. He expressed regret that the situation turned out poorly, especially since it had already been a challenging weekend.
"Following yet another challenging beginning because of the difficult conditions in that area of the grid, I managed to stage a solid recovery and was significantly faster. At the moment, I'm experiencing considerable pain, particularly in my left shoulder, but it doesn't appear that anything is broken."
"We will strive to be in top condition for the event at Misano."
As the San Marino Grand Prix approaches this weekend, Bagnaia has just four days to regain his physical condition before the practice sessions start for his home race. This scenario is quite similar to last year, when he had an accident at the Catalan Grand Prix and came to Misano with injuries to his legs.
Last year, despite his injuries, Bagnaia secured third place in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix. However, the impact of his recent crash in Aragon on his performance in Misano will remain uncertain until Friday morning's practice session begins.
