Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it seemed they had escaped serious injury.
Marquez drifted to the outside, holding onto third place with six laps left.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely trailing right behind Marquez's front end.
The two bicycles became entangled as they veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He strode off, his leathers ripped and worn on his arm, possibly lucky that the damage wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was taken to the medical facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were observed strolling in the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia began Sunday three points behind the current championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, with a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez clinched victory in the race.
