### Dramatic MotoGP Weekend: Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Miller’s Last-Lap Heartache
Brad Binder: "Once again, my bike ended up doing a rolling burnout!", Jack Miller: "Rins just managed to overtake me."
Brad Binder: "Last night, I came up with a solid strategy to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder experienced his best MotoGP weekend, in terms of points, since the season began in Qatar. He secured 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon race
Even though he veered off course in both races, he still managed to secure seventh place from the cleaner part of a messy starting grid.
During the middle portion of the race, Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta. This pursuit turned into a contest for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with five laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained beyond grasp.
"I came up with an excellent strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and once more, I executed a rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated through and overtook several riders. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating while trailing others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time while exiting corners, as entering them quickly was challenging due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and ultimately, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
“I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no support from behind!”
"We took some notably positive steps this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Fellow rider Jack Miller had a strong start, moving from 15th position on the grid to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly faced issues with rear tire traction.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins on the final lap and losing ninth place, he was one of three racers penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure violations, which pushed him down to 15th position.
"That was quite a lengthy race," Miller commented. "The track conditions have varied once more; it has been mostly dirty throughout the weekend, but today it felt slicker."
"I gave it my all. Managing the [medium] rear tire was challenging, and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final corner."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the outer edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn’t make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead. We’ll keep working hard."
"Thrilled to finish in the top ten, but disappointed that Rins overtook me on the back straight during the last lap. I tried my best to be accurate, but my speed faltered, allowing him to pass me."
“We will return to Misano in the future.”
KTM will have a total of five riders this weekend, as test rider Pol Espargaro joins as a wild-card entry.
“Next, we head to Misano, where we will also focus on the subsequent test and benefit from Pol’s wildcard entry, which will aid us in our future efforts,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will begin with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently occupies fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently ranked 15th, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
