Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it appeared they had not sustained significant injuries.
Marquez drifted off course while trying to hold onto third place, with only six laps left.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely trailing right behind Marquez's front end.
The two bicycles became entangled as they veered off the course.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped beneath Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and gestured towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He moved off, his leather attire ripped and worn on his arm, yet possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the healthcare facility for an examination.
Half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were observed strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be unscathed.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Heading into Sunday's race, MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia was three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, holding a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
