Adrian Newey Hails MotoGP Riders as ‘Superhuman’ Amidst Critique of Current F1 Cars
Adrian Newey: MotoGP Riders Are 'Superhuman'
Adrian Newey, the brilliant mind behind many Formula One designs, has highlighted the remarkable difference between the 'superhuman' performances of MotoGP riders and the latest energy-efficient Formula One vehicles.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Newey expressed that spectators of any sport desire to feel that the athletes are exceptional. He noted that when people watch MotoGP, they perceive the racers as nearly superhuman, a sentiment he believes is lacking with today's Formula 1 cars.
Adrian Newey's designs in Formula 1 have secured ten constructors' championships across three separate teams. Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing has clinched the drivers' championship for the past four years. However, this season, the team is facing difficulties with their 2014 Renault engine as Mercedes continues to dominate.
Although Newey has signed a new contract with Red Bull, his future is still a topic of discussion. This is because it has been revealed that he will be involved in unspecified "new Red Bull Technology projects" and will also provide guidance and mentorship for the development of the team's upcoming F1 cars.
