Broc Parkes Makes MotoGP Comeback with IodaRacing for Valencia Finale, Replacing Injured Alex de Angelis
Broc Parkes is set to come back to the MotoGP World Championship for the final 2015 race in Valencia, stepping in for the hurt Alex de Angelis at IodaRacing as the most recent substitute.
The seasoned Australian rider made his MotoGP debut last season with Paul Bird Motorsport, only to switch to British Superbikes in 2015, a transition that was cut short due to a series of underwhelming performances.
After dedicating himself to endurance racing for the latter part of the 2015 season, Parkes is set to return to prominent international contests, taking the helm of an ART bike managed by IodaRacing in Spain.
He is set to become the second replacement for de Angelis, who incurred multiple injuries following an accident at the Japanese Grand Prix, succeeding Parkes' fellow Australian Damian Cudlin, who took over the ride in both Australia and Malaysia.
In a recent update, Ioda has announced that de Angelis is set to appear in Valencia, marking his first public outing since the Motegi incident that resulted in a 19-day hospital stay.
