Porsche Taycan Recall Alert: 31,689 Vehicles Affected Due to Faulty Brake Hoses
Porsche Initiates Recall of 31,689 Taycan Vehicles Over Concerns of Front Brake Hose Failures
Porsche has issued a recall for 31,689 of its Taycan models following concerns that the front brake hoses may develop cracks and leak fluid.
The impacted models span from the 2020 to 2025 model years, covering the entire production period of the Taycan from its initial launch to the most recent lineup, including the refreshed range of Taycans.
According to a recall report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the front brake hoses on these vehicles may experience stress at the point where they bend the most. This stress, which can happen during specific steering and driving situations, could lead to damage in the hoses' inner fabric liner.

"A spokesperson from Porsche emphasized to Green Car Reports that customer safety is their top priority. To ensure this, Porsche has initiated a precautionary recall to replace the front brake hoses on certain Porsche Taycan models that might leak. Should such an issue arise, drivers will receive alerts through their dashboard notifications. Porsche will inform affected customers shortly and will carry out the repairs at no cost."

Dashboard alerts might show notifications such as "low brake fluid" or "PSM failure." Dealers are fitting new brake hoses that feature a larger bending radius. Additionally, these hoses were integrated into the manufacturing process starting May 13, 2024, meaning any vehicles assembled after this date will include them as standard.
Owners will receive notification letters by July 3. For more details, owners can reach out to Porsche at 1-800-767-7243 or check the Porsche recall webpage. Additionally, owners may contact the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236, referencing agency number 24V455000 for this recall.
