Mick Schumacher Eyed for Surprising F1 Comeback with Alpine Amid Team Turmoil
Mick Schumacher Considered for Surprising Return to F1
"Overlooking Mick for the role would be an oversight."
Alpine's team leader has acknowledged that Mick Schumacher is being considered as a potential driver for their Formula 1 team.
Alpine was infuriated last weekend in Monaco after Esteban Ocon's aggressive move led to a crash with his teammate, Pierre Gasly.
Alpine team leader Bruno Famin is said to be contemplating removing Ocon from the F1 race in Canada.
Hence, Schumacher, already affiliated with Alpine in the World Endurance Championship, has now entered into consideration.
"All possibilities are on the table for 2025, there's open dialogue among all parties," Famin revealed to Sky Germany.
Excluding Mick from the list would certainly be an oversight.
"I'm extremely pleased with Mick; he's incredibly quick.
"In the WEC, the primary focus isn't on one aspect; maintaining a consistently high performance and fostering a strong team cohesion is crucial."
"His ability to grasp things immediately has truly amazed me."
He has adjusted his approach for the day's marathon events.
"He maintains an excellent rapport with his fellow players."
Schumacher mentioned, "My ambition and aspiration is to compete in Formula 1."
"That's how it has always been and how it will continue to be."
"That's the reason it's crucial for things to align in my favor, leading to the hopeful outcome of securing a position for myself."
"My approach is to excel in my role within the WEC and Formula 1, ensuring I deliver top-notch performances for the team as their reserve driver, while also maintaining ongoing conversations."
Steiner, who was the team principal of Haas at the time, terminated Schumacher due to the high number of accidents he was involved in, which Steiner had criticized.
Beginning from the onset of the previous year, Michael Schumacher's son has served as a backup driver for Mercedes.
In the midst of turmoil within the Alpine team, an unforeseen opportunity for a return to the 2025 Formula 1 lineup has emerged.
