Tragedy Strikes Eastern China: Bus Crash Kills 11, Including Children and Parents, Outside School
In eastern China, a tragic incident occurred outside a school when a bus plowed into a crowd, resulting in the deaths of 5 children and 6 adults. The bus driver has been taken into custody following the crash, which also left many injured. This incident comes shortly after national media highlighted new safety protocols for protecting students.
On Tuesday morning in eastern China, a bus plowed into a group of people outside a junior high school, resulting in 11 deaths and 24 injuries.
State-run CCTV reported that the accident happened at about 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the school year.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, whereas 12 others are reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
Authorities reported that a school bus, assigned to transport students, was involved in an accident. The bus lost control near an intersection and collided with a group of people. Law enforcement has taken the driver into custody and is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
