Tragedy Strikes Eastern China: Bus Crash at School Entrance Claims 11 Lives, Including Children and Parents
In eastern China, a tragic incident occurred when a bus struck a group of people outside a school, resulting in the deaths of 5 children and 6 adults. Following the crash, which also left many injured, the bus driver was taken into custody by the police. This incident happened shortly after national media reported on new policies aimed at enhancing student safety.
On Tuesday morning, a bus plowed into a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in 11 deaths and 24 injuries.
State media CCTV reported that the accident took place at about 7 a.m. outside the Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day back to school.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual was critically injured, while 12 others are reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
Authorities reported that the transportation involved was a school bus assigned to transport students. It encountered an accident when it veered off course at an intersection and collided with a group of people. Law enforcement has since taken the bus driver into custody, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
