### “Tensions Flare: Christian Horner Addresses ‘Disharmony’ with Jos Verstappen Amid Austrian GP Controversy
Christian Horner's Comments on Conflict with Jos Verstappen
Red Bull's Christian Horner addresses his ongoing dispute with Jos Verstappen.
Christian Horner, the head of the Red Bull Formula 1 team, is once more addressing inquiries about his seemingly strained relationship with Max Verstappen's father, Jos.
A recent point of contention between Horner and Verstappen Sr arose during the Austrian Grand Prix, where Verstappen Sr alleged that the Red Bull team principal intentionally obstructed his participation in a Legends Parade scheduled for Sunday’s race.
Red Bull denied the allegations but chose not to post or distribute any pictures or videos of Verstappen Sr on their social media platforms.
On Friday in Austria, Horner emphasized that he had not "blocked" Verstappen from appearing in a 2012 championship-winning RB8 as planned.
Three-time Formula 1 world champion Verstappen weighed in after his victory in the sprint race on Saturday, stating that the dispute was unnecessary and "could have been avoided."
Max Verstappen secured a commanding pole position for the upcoming race at the Red Bull Ring during the qualifying session on Sunday.
In an interview with Sky Sports F1 following the session, Horner was questioned about how he handles the 'discord' between himself and Verstappen Sr.
"To tell you the truth, once we step into the garage, everything goes back to usual," Horner stated.
Regardless of any distractions, once everyone gathers in the garage, they immediately understand their responsibilities and concentrate on a single objective. Our team is truly exceptional.
Max is demonstrating why he is considered the top driver globally. Additionally, his personal growth and the way he conducts himself are evident.
During an interview with the Dutch magazine Formula 1's website, Verstappen Sr expressed that he is "entirely finished" with Horner, criticizing the Red Bull team principal as "immature".
Sharing his perspective on the matter, Verstappen Jr commented: "Obviously, it's unpleasant—not just for me, but also for my father, for Christian, and for the entire team."
"Naturally, no one wants such events to occur. My father has explained his reasoning quite clearly, and I can certainly see where he's coming from."
