**”Red Bull’s Overnight Simulator Marathon: Team Gears Up to Tackle Barcelona Setbacks”**
Red Bull is expected to undergo an 11-hour overnight simulator session to address problems faced in Barcelona. The team's simulator drivers are anticipating a busy night ahead.
Former Formula 1 driver Karun Chandhok thinks that Red Bull’s simulator drivers will have a lengthy night ahead in their quest to make enhancements before the qualifying session.
Red Bull's inconsistent performance persisted on Friday during the Spanish Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen expressed dissatisfaction with the way his RB20 handled while he recorded the fifth-fastest time of the day.
Sergio Perez once more had difficulty maintaining speed, ultimately finishing in 13th place.
The events at Imola unfolded in a familiar manner, with initial difficulties in speed early in the weekend. However, Verstappen pulled off an extraordinary lap to unexpectedly secure pole position.
Chandhok thinks that a comparable level of effort will be required for this upcoming weekend.
Chandhok mentioned that an individual will spend about 10 to 11 hours in the simulator overnight.
"Here’s what went down at Imola: They struggled on Friday, but Sebastien Buemi put in 11 hours of work overnight, and by Saturday, Max secured pole position."
"I believe they can be caught. That's the main takeaway for this weekend. Perez seems to be lagging, and he needs to step up his performance."
"There are six or seven cars that have the potential to secure pole position. Max and Red Bull must perform at their absolute best."
Ex-IndyCar racer Danica Patrick observed the RB20's performance issues in the middle segment of the lap while she was at the track for Sky during the second practice session.
"I'm not certain if what I observed on the track reflects the actual setup, but I can describe what I witnessed."
"Exiting the rapid corners, specifically turns 7 and 8, and ascending the hill, you could observe the cars hitting the ground. This was especially noticeable with Ferrari. Conversely, this wasn't evident with Max's car or the Red Bulls."
"I am curious if the car's stance has a significant rake. With the rear elevated, it's less likely to make contact."
“If the car starts to understeer midway through the corner, it makes it difficult to rely on stability when it finally grips again, which often happens, particularly with the kerbs at this track.
Observing their approach to Turn 10, it was evident that they couldn't extract as much performance from their cars during braking as Mercedes and Ferrari could. This was particularly noticeable from their posture and handling.
