The electronics company from Hong Kong, PC Partner, is considering establishing a new main office and a secondary listing in Singapore. This move is part of the company's strategy to broaden its presence in Southeast Asia.
Setting up shop in Singapore will establish a significant foothold in Southeast Asia, according to PC Partner. The company asserts that this move will make it more efficient at seizing local business opportunities. The board of directors firmly believes that this decision is in the best interest of the company and all its shareholders.
Shares of PC Partner dipped by 0.9 per cent, settling at HK$4.47 in Hong Kong's Friday trading. However, the company's stock has seen a substantial increase of 42 per cent this year, surpassing the Hang Seng Index's modest growth of 5.5 per cent during the same timeframe.
Following its secondary listing in Singapore, PC Partner has expressed intentions to eventually make this a primary listing. This action would lead to the termination of its listing status in Hong Kong, as per the company's statement.
