**MotoGP Drama at Aragon: Binder’s Burnout and Miller’s Struggles**
Brad Binder: "Once more, my bike went into a rolling burnout!"
Jack Miller: "Rins managed to slip past me."
Brad Binder: "My strategy last night was to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season started in Qatar, securing 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon race.
This occurred even though he veered off course in both races, with his seventh-place finish coming from the better part of a messy starting lineup.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle portion of the race. This contest turned into a fight for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia clashed with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta stayed just beyond grasp.
"I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I executed a rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder said with a smile.
"I was able to navigate carefully and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while trailing others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to regain lost time by accelerating out of corners since I couldn't approach them too quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and ultimately, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind him!"
"Besides that, we made several positive advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Teammate Jack Miller had a strong start, moving from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly encountered issues with rear grip.
Having been overtaken by Alex Rins on the final lap and missing out on ninth place, he subsequently received a 16-second penalty for tyre pressure violations along with two other riders, ultimately placing him in 15th position.
“It was a lengthy race,” Miller remarked. “The track conditions changed once more. It had been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it seemed even more slippery.”
“I gave it my all. It was tough to manage the [medium] rear tire and I experienced a major highside as I exited the final turn.
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the tyre's edge to its center… but I managed to finish the race."
"There were no errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll keep working hard."
"I’m pleased to have finished in the top ten, but on the last lap, Rins managed to pass me on the back straight. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but I lost momentum and he overtook me."
“We will return to Misano.”
This weekend, test rider Pol Espargaro will join the KTM team as a wild-card entry, increasing their total number of riders to five.
“Next, we will head to Misano, where we’ll also focus on the subsequent test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which will be beneficial for our future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP event will begin with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, who is currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, just three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
