McLaren employee leaves hospital after fire incident in F1 paddock
A McLaren Formula 1 team employee has been discharged from the hospital after a fire broke out in their hospitality area on Saturday.
A member of the McLaren F1 team has been released from the hospital after a fire erupted in their hospitality structure on Saturday.
Crash.net was present in McLaren's motorhome when it had to be cleared due to a fire breaking out in the kitchen. Smoke was observed pouring from the hospitality unit as emergency responders and fire crews arrived at the Spanish Grand Prix location.
McLaren has announced that all team members and guests have been located and are safe.
According to a team statement, a fire broke out at their trackside Team Hub earlier today. All staff and guests were promptly evacuated, and emergency services at the circuit responded within minutes. Both the circuit's emergency team and the local fire department have successfully put out the fire.
"We extend our gratitude to the marshals and emergency services for their swift and professional actions. Additionally, we appreciate the support from Formula 1, the FIA, and our fellow competitors who have offered assistance to our team and guests this weekend."
A team member was taken to the hospital as a precaution but has now been discharged.
The McLaren team announced in an update that their member, who was sent to the hospital for evaluation, has been released. They expressed gratitude to the medical staff at the circuit and the hospital for their assistance and care.

Mario Isola, the head of Pirelli and a part-time paramedic, was one of the initial responders, assisting with the delivery of fire extinguishers.
A fire broke out just before the last practice session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri from McLaren participated in the third practice session.
This is not the first time a fire has broken out in the F1 paddock during the Spanish Grand Prix.
Following Pastor Maldonado's first Formula 1 win in 2012, a fire erupted at the rear of the Williams team's garage.
