Former AVIC Chairman Under Investigation: Allegations of Severe Legal and Party Discipline Violations
China has initiated a corruption investigation into Tan Ruisong, the former chairman of leading aircraft manufacturer AVIC, who served from 2018 to 2023. Tan is suspected of committing significant breaches of both legal and party regulations.
Tan Ruisong, who served as the chairman of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) between 2018 and 2023, is under suspicion for committing significant breaches of legal and Communist Party regulations.
According to a statement released on Friday, he is under investigation by both the party's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission of Supervision.
The nation's leading anti-corruption bodies did not disclose specifics regarding the claimed "severe violations," a term often used to imply corruption.
