Bagnaia and Marquez were seen angrily signaling to each other in the gravel following the incident – yet, upon initial observation, seemed to have escaped serious harm.

Marquez drifted off track while trying to hold onto third place with six laps left.

Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.

Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to Marquez's front end.

The two bicycles became entangled as they veered off course.

For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.

However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.

He left with his leathers ripped and worn on his arm, lucky perhaps that the harm wasn't more severe.

Bagnaia visited the medical facility for an examination.

Half an hour after the incident, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen moving through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appeared to be unharmed.

Stewards are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia started Sunday three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.

Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, with a 23-point lead.

Marc Marquez emerged as the victor in the race.
